Our Preschool
Blackett Public Preschool is open!
We are excited to announce that Blackett Public Preschool is now open.
It has been wonderful to welcome our youngest learners and new families, along with our new preschool teachers and educators, into our preschool community.
Our preschool operates on the same days and hours as our school and provides a high-quality, play-based learning program for children in the year before kindergarten. We have capacity for up to 40 children each day across two preschool rooms.
Submit an expression of interest to enrol at Blackett Public Preschool
Families who wish to enrol their child in the preschool should submit the completed Expression of Interest (EOI) to our school office. Printed copies are available at our school office. Submitting an EOI does not guarantee a preschool place for your child.
Children who are in the year before starting school and turning 4 years old by 31 July 2026 are eligible to apply.
Why choose Blackett Public Preschool?
Our public preschool is a fee-free preschool at Blackett Public School, and it’s an easy choice for local families with young children.
Blackett Public Preschool provides a supportive, play-based learning environment within our school community. Our preschool is a valued part of our school, giving children the best possible start in learning.
At our preschool, children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, build relationships, and learn through play. Our teachers and educators support each child to develop confidence, independence, and a positive transition into kindergarten. We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our preschool community.
